Defense Tech Pioneer Anduril Raises $5 Billion, Valuation Skyrockets to $61 Billion

In a massive signal that defense technology has moved to the absolute forefront of venture capital, Anduril Industries has officially closed an immense $5 billion Series H funding round. The fresh capital injection propels the Costa Mesa, California-based company's valuation to a staggering $61 billion—effectively doubling the $30.5 billion valuation it commanded less than a year ago.

The blockbuster round was co-led by tech investment giants Andreessen Horowitz and Thrive Capital. This capital milestone pushes Anduril’s total funding raised since its inception past $11.4 billion, solidifying its place as the undisputed leader of the modern defense tech revolution.

Anduril, known for its lattice operating system, autonomous counter-drone technologies, and military-grade hardware, plans to utilize the $5 billion war chest to aggressively scale its manufacturing capacity. As international geopolitics and supply chain vulnerabilities continue to dominate headlines, institutional investors are writing unprecedentedly large checks for "software-first" military hardware that can be mass-produced quickly.

The deal highlights a broader 2026 market trend where hardware and software intersections addressing high-stakes, real-world problems are capturing massive premiums over traditional software-as-a-service (SaaS) products.
